Description

Employee Parking Permits - New Registration Required

August 2020 marks the end of the one year green permit cycle and all employees will need to register for new green permits (valid through 8/31/2023). Please note that this permit will be valid for three years.

Online permit registration is available June 22 to August 12 at https://gustavus.edu/safety/permits.

Permit's will be sent to your campus mailbox the week of August 17th.

Employees will need their email username and password, along with the vehicle license plate, make, and color in order to complete the online form. There is no charge for employee parking permits.

In this time of uncertainty for what campus life will be like this fall due to COVID-19, we are asking that you all register your vehicles during this online registration.  If you miss the online registration window, registration will be available in the Campus Safety office August 24 and continues throughout the academic year, 24 hours a day, however, these dates could change. Campus Safety will limit the number of people in our small lobby, and lines will likely be long.  Please begin parking according to permit color starting Tuesday, August 25, 2020, and note that any vehicle not displaying a new valid parking permit will be cited beginning 7 a.m. on the first day of class, Wednesday 2, 2020.

Employees are responsible for knowing the campus parking and traffic regulations at https://gustavus.edu/safety/policies/traffic.php.

Permits are non-transferable and must be affixed to the passenger side rear bumper of each vehicle. During the school year, temporary permits are available for short-term use of alternate vehicles, as are replacement stickers for new vehicles (please remove the original sticker to return to the Campus Safety office before changing vehicles). Visitor parking is closed to students and employees at all times (24/7/365). During the academic year, always register your vehicle in the Campus Safety office and display a valid parking permit before parking.

Contact the Campus Safety office 24 hours a day at 507-933-8888 with any parking related questions, or email the Campus Safety Administrative Assistant Angie Hanson at achanson@gustavus.edu.
