Day of the Dead: Celebration of LifeNovember 4, 2015 at 5–8 p.m.
Come join us for our yearly celebration of the D??a de Muertos (i.e., Day of the Dead). We will get started with a Family Carnival at the Jackson Campus Center, featuring calavera face painting, a sugar skull decorating contest, skeleton puppet making, poems, and story time. There will be also a special appearance by El Catr??n and La Catrina.
At 6:30, a candlelight procession will walk to Christ Chapel, where we will hold a ceremony lead by chaplain Brian Konkol in memory of loved ones. After this, all guests are invited to stay, have some hot chocolate and pan dulce, and vote for their favorite altar amongst the many displayed at Christ Chapel for this occasion. We expect to have a winner by 7:45pm!
This event is free and open to all members of the Gustavus/Saint Peter community.
