Charity Concert for The Third FloorDecember 9, 2006 at 8 p.m.

The Alarmists from Minneapolis will perform a concert to help raise funds for The Third Floor Youth Center in St. Peter. The Alarmists' songwriting pays homage to the Beatles, Bowie, Radiohead, and Wilco, but they have crafted a sound that is fresh, at times so familiar that it's impossible not to sing along, while the group also bends the concept of pop music to include dramatic chord changes and unexpected tempo and rhythmic changes. Opening for The Alarmists are the student group, The Doldrums. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
