Description

Camp Kendall: Information Literacy in Gen Ed Courses

In the revised curriculum, USIDG and GLAFC courses must ask students to evaluate the arguments that different forms of information support, and CHALS courses must ask students to craft arguments that make and support claims successfully for multiple audiences and contexts. This workshop facilitated by Rachel Flynn and Laura Burrack will guide you through the process of designing new courses or adapting their existing course to these new general education course expectations. This workshop is recommended for anyone teaching a USIDG, GLAFC, CHALS, or WRITL course next year or for anyone who wants to incorporate more information literacy elements in other courses. Breakfast and lunch provided. Tuesday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to noon in Anderson Hall, Room 304. Register  here:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Z1fwcpq4D1oIS5ry0cCUUlp-mml6dgdd2BwsUfigEp4/edit
