Description

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, GWS is sponsoring a screening of Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin. Rustin was Dr. King's most trusted advisor and the person who introduced King to the principles of Gandhian nonviolence. Rustin's story is largely unknown because he was openly gay. Join us for this award-winning documentary that presents a more complete picture of the civil rights movement and Rustin's pivotal role in it. You can watch the trailer here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFJDlzm5zDM) and learn more about Rustin and the documentary at rustin.org.
