Wondering how AI will impact what kinds of jobs are available, how you apply for jobs, and what you might be doing when you’re on the job? Come hear from an AI expert, a small business owner who’s a jazz singer and a digital marketing consultant, and a recent Gustavus alum who majored in French and GWSS and is now a computer software developer. Free food will be provided!

French and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies Majors, Software Engineer at SPS Commerce
Maddie Sandish is a software engineer with a team focused on translating complex data into effective tools for internal teams and experimenting with AI tooling to improve these processes. Maddie maintains an interest in epistemology and epistemic justice which motivates their leadership with their colleagues and community at large.
Hannah Bretz
Jazz Studies Major, Digital Marketing Consultant at Raiven Marketing
- Hannah Bretz is a website designer and marketing consultant specializing in custom, user-friendly websites that enhance visibility and engagement. As the founder of Raiven Marketing and a consultant for the South Central Small Business Development Center, she also provides training on digital marketing, AI, SEO, entrepreneurship, and business startups to foster innovation and success.
Dr. Dongji Feng
Gustavus Assistant Professor
- Dongji Feng is a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at Gustavus Adolphus College. His research interests include Auto Machine Learning, Natural Language Generation, LLM, Information Retrieval, and Evaluation Metrics.
