40th Anniversary Celebration of Linnaeus ArboretumApril 24, 2013 at 3–6 p.m.
Join us Wednesday, April 24th from 3:00 to 6:00, as we celebrate Earth Week, Arbor Week, and the 40th anniversary of the Linnaeus Arboretum on the Gustavus Adolphus campus. Enjoy refreshments and entertainment. Take the Arboretum Unnatural Hike. Take home a free tree sapling! Stay for the whole event, or come and go as you like, according to the schedule of events:
3:00 -- View displays in the Interpretive Center
3:30 -- Welcome and remarks by Arboretum co-founder Harriet Mason and soon-to-be-retiring Naturalist Jim Gilbert.
4:30 -- Cake and refreshments, followed by live dance and music performances
4:30-6:00 -- Explore the Arboretum and take home a tree sapling to plant.
