About GLA
Gustavus Library Associates, celebrating its 32nd year, is a friends-of-the-college organization dedicated to the support and advancement of the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library at Gustavus. A 57-member board of directors plans a year-long calendar of events including a social evening at the Old Log Theater, a luncheon celebrating the Festival of St. Lucia, an Easter Bunny Breakfast, and an Author Day event.
A Royal Affair, a biennial gala benefit, is the primary fundraiser for the library. Nearly two million dollars has been raised for the library endowment through the past fifteen fundraisers. The membership of the Gustavus Library Associates totals nearly 500 people, with membership dues dedicated directly to the acquisitions budget. Download a membership application.
