Athletic Training is one of my first loves. I am a firm believer that Athletic Trainers possess specific knowledge and skills to enhance the delivery of healthcare in the United States. I have been practicing for well over 15 years, but I have always maintained a passion for teaching and mentoring students above all else. As a lifelong learner, I am a perpetual student of the discipline of Athletic Training. I believe traditional methods of clinical examination should be questioned and tested. I have worked clinically in different settings including the collegiate setting, multi-specialty orthopedics, and the industrial setting. In addition to my teaching responsibilities in the GAC athletic training program, I also work as an Industrial Athletic Trainer at the MSP airport serving a major airline. A large part of my role in the Athletic Training Program is the organization and coordination of clinical experiences for athletic training students. Much of my time is dedicated to maintaining clinical sites and relationships and building new ones with various organizations that our students can benefit from now and in the future. I am a Texas native but currently live in Western Wisconsin with my family.
