Marissa Haeny is a 2016 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, where she double majored in Biology and Political Science. In her time on campus, she was a Collegiate Fellow in both Norelius Hall and Uhler Hall, a member of the Gustavus Ambassadors program, a biology laboratory tutor for several classes, and a member of the Political Science Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. She graduated a semester early, in December 2015.

After graduating, Marissa moved to France to teach English to high school and college students. While abroad, she had the opportunity to visit numerous countries, including France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Monaco, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and England. Teaching English and American culture was something she found to be very rewarding, especially in the rural town she was living in.

Once Marissa returned stateside, she accepted a position with Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery, where she had worked in college, as the Day-Of Wedding and Events Coordinator.

Marissa loves to travel and has been to 15 countries and 25 states. She also loves to go camping, hiking, and backpacking - she has backpacked across the Jewel Basin in Montana, spent a month in the BWCA, been hiking in the mountrains of British Columbia, and backpacked around Denali National Park, including hiking Mt. McKinley! When she's not working, traveling, or camping, Marissa likes to read, watch Criminal Minds, and hang out with her friends.
