Mathematica for Gustavus Students
The MCS department has a site license for Mathematica. As part of the license agreement, students may download and install a copy of Mathematica on their personal computer. The student copy will remain active during the semester that it was requested. The software can be reactivated by request.
Instructions
- Go to the Wolfram homepage: http://www.wolfram.com/ This must be done on campus or through the Gustavus virtual lab.
- Click on the link at the top of the page that says “Access Wolfram Tech at Gustavus Adolphus"
- This will open up a page prompting you to enter your name, email, and affiliation with the college.
- Click on send request
- An MCS faculty member will review your application and confirm that you are a student enrolled in an MCS course.
- If approved, you will receive an email with an activation key for Mathematica
- Return to the Wolfram homepage. Scroll down and click on “user portal”
- Create an account with the same email used for your access request (GusMail account)
- Once you verify your account and the request is approved, you should be able to download Mathematica on your personal device (either MAC or WIN)
