Welcome to the Web pages dedicated to the celebration of the inauguration of Rebecca M. Bergman as the 17th President of Gustavus Adolphus College.

The College will formally inaugurate President Bergman during a festive ceremony in Christ Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3. On behalf of the College’s Board of Trustees, I encourage all of you to participate in this ceremony and in other inaugural activities described at this site.

The various activities are structured to give each of us an opportunity to personally welcome President Bergman to the Gustavus family. She has chosen to focus on celebrating community as the theme of her inauguration, and I know she is eager to work with all of you – students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, congregations, and other friends of the College community alike – in building an ever greater Gustavus.

Please join us as we celebrate this special event in the life of the College and prepare for our shared future.
