Josh Portner is a first year at Gustavus Adolphus College. He is majoring in Chemistry with minors in Biology and Music. Josh started working at the Technology Helpline in the spring of 2013. He is from Mankato, Minnesota and has two younger brothers.

Activities

Music is a big part of Josh's life. He plays trumpet in the Wind Orchestra and Jazz band at Gustavus. He is also a member of the 2013 Phantom Regiment, a drum corp. The corp will tour from June to August, making stops all across the nation. Josh is also involved in research on campus with Dr. Jeff Jermiasion. He enjoys lab work outside of his normal classes.

Josh visited Canada in the summer of 2012. He enjoyed going to the Calgary Stampede, whitewater rafting near Banff, and taking a lift up into the mountains.
