Questions to Ask

According to our mission statement, Gustavus provides a liberal arts education of recognized excellence. We are a church-related college that nurtures a mature understanding of the Christian faith, and we prepare students for lives of leadership and service. I would like to hear your responses to the following questions:

• How do you see yourself contributing to the fulfillment of those claims?
• What are the College's strengths and weaknesses in living up to those claims? Specifically, what are current areas of excellence and where is there potential for greater excellence?
• The accompanying documents describe some of the most critical changes taking place in higher education. What do you believe we will need to do in order to address those changes and achieve a new level of "recognized excellence?" In other words, what's your picture of the Gustavus of the future and what will you be able to contribute to that picture?
