Chinese Chess TournamentSaturday, November 12, 4-7pm

Whether you are an experienced Chinese Chess player, have experience with another variety of chess, or are very inexperienced in playing chess (or have no experience at all) this is the opportunity for you!

Prior to the tournament, we will be hosting two workshops to help you learn how to play:

  • Friday, October 28 from 5-6pm
  • Saturday, October 29 from 4-5pm

This is a great opportunity to learn as the higest ranked beginner at the tournament will receive a Gustavus Beanie and Mug, regardless of actual overall rankings. Note: Beginner is defined as someone who has little or no experience in playing Chinese Chess, regardless of their experience with other varieties of chess.

The actual tournament will take place on the following date and times, though the actual duration of the tournament may vary.

  • Saturday, November 12 from 4-7pm

Exact tournament rules and structure will be finalized before play begins at the tournament, and will depend in part on how many participants we have. Participants will be expected to sign an entry form at the tournament before play begins. The first place winner will receive a $35 Book Mark gift card!

While it is not required, we would appreciate an email expressing your intent to participate in the tournament. In addition if you are planning on attending one of the two workshop training sessions it would be helpful for you to email us as well.
