Description

Hands-on workshop for soon-to-be instructors of WRITL, co-facilitated by WAC Director Becky Fremo and Librarians Julie Gilbert and Rachel Flynn.  Our mission: to help you prepare to teach newly proposed WRITL courses.  We’ll focus on Information Literacy, starting with ways to define and describe this term.  We’ll consider why it’s a vital part of general education and how to keep it central to our WRITL courses.  Faculty will have time to explore possible models for library partnerships and cohort-building as we share our ideas. All participants will receive lunch, coffee, and a small stipend for participating all day ($50). RSVP to Rebecca Fremo by January 6 by emailing rtfremo@gustavus.edu.

NOTE:  WRITL Follow-up opportunities will be scheduled this spring.
