Dr. Alex Jassen, Assistant Professor of Early Judaism in the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Studies at the University of Minnesota, will give a lecture on March 10, 2011 titled "What are the Dead Sea Scrolls and Why are They so Important?". Dr. Jassen's research and teaching concentrates on the Dead Sea Scrolls and ancient Judaism and he is a member of the international editorial team for the Dead Sea Scrolls.
