Description

Gustavus will be participating in a Webinar on Research Ethics for Undergraduates that is being presented by the Council for Undergraduate Research (CUR). This Webinar is particularly relevant for recipients of grants from National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health. The webinar will review evidence-based best practices in ethics education, and provide a forum of discussion as to how active learning techniques can be incorporated into undergraduate research ethics instruction. CUR's Director for the At-Large Division, Dr. Julio Turrens, a Professor and Associate Dean at University of South Alabama, will be joined by experts at the National Center for Professional and Research Ethics (NCPRE) at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. At the completion of the one-hour Webinar, we will hold a round-table discussion for local participants. More details on the Webinar can be found at http://www.cur.org/webinar_on_research_ethics_for_undergraduate_research_programs/
