Announcement: Vote for St. Lucia 2012

It is your turn to vote for who will be Gustavus' St. Lucia this year!

The Festival of St. Lucia is a very special time for Gustavus. It celebrates the legend of St. Lucia, a woman devoted to caring for others and who was martyred at the age for 20 for standing up for what she believed was right. The legend of Lucia continues to be a vision for light and hope in the world. The St. Lucia Festival will be held during daily Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 6.

30 Sophomore women were nominated by the Gustavus community because they exemplify the traits of St. Lucia. The Lucia Court was selected by Sophomore women and the Guild of St. Lucia. The court this year is comprised of Maura Bremer, Dani Cabrera, Carolyn Draayer, Nicole Eknitphong, Mara LeBlanc, and Nikki Rom. Pictures and descriptions of these women are added below.
