Description
The Russian and Orthodox tradition of the monasticism of silence and the Yakutian or Sakha traditions based on the natural cycles of shamanism have been meeting and influencing each other for centuries. Prof Denis Crnkovic (Russian) explores the conluence and conflicts of these two spiritual traditions over the ages and in the contemporary cultural lives of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
