Description

Teachers Talking: Designing Research Assignments for Information Literacy, will be held on Friday, April 26. While our students can often find information on any given topic, they can further develop sophisticated information literacy skills through well-constructed research assignments. Join library faculty members Rachel Flynn, Anna Hulseberg and Julie Gilbert to explore designing research assignments for information literacy. We will discuss students’ research strengths and challenges and explore ways to develop their information literacy skills. We will also discuss assignment prompts and facilitate a robust conversation about what works well. We encourage participants to bring a laptop. Session is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., in the St. Peter Room with a free buffet lunch.
