System Maintenance Window - Friday, 2/4/2005

Description
This Friday, Feb 4th, we are planning on conducting the following systems maintenance starting at 4:30pm:
Update samba schema in LDAP - for short periods of time each of our 2 LDAP servers will be down. This may cause some logins to Macs in the labs to fail, address book searches to fail, etc.
Add more memory to Thebe - Thebe will be down for a few minutes to install more ram and apply latest security patches. This affects mcs-jsp, mcs-mysql, and cardweb services.
Marshtomp - apply patches and reboot. - Will cause proxied web traffic to fall back to unproxied resulting in somewhat slower internet access.
Gemini - apply patches and reboot. - Will cause proxied web traffic to fall back to unproxied resulting in somewhat slower internet access.
Blackboard - apply patches and reboot - Access to Blackboard course management system will be unavailable during reboot.
Charlotte - gac.edu webserver - Apply patches and reboot. Campus webpages will be down for a few minutes while this system reboots.
