Description
To participate in this fall's elections, students must be registered to vote either at their permanent home address or where they live while attending school, depending on which place is considered their residence. In an effort to minimize inconveniences associated with same-day registration at the polling places, representatives of the City of St. Peter and Nicollet County will be on campus Wednesday, Oct. 1 and Thursday, Oct. 2 to pre-register students who wish to vote in St. Peter on Nov. 4. These election officials will answer questions regarding voting by absentee ballot and polling place locations. Anyone who is new to campus or has changed residence hall room and/or building since last year will need to (re)register to vote. For students who wish to vote elsewhere, voter registration cards are available at the dean of students office.
