Student Leadership Day (for High School Youth) at Gustavus on April 9April 9, 2011All day
For the third consecutive year, Student Leadership Day will be held at Gustavus, welcoming high school student leaders and potential prospects in grades 8-11, as well as youth directors, for a day of leadership development that will help participants consider what leadership is, ways to lead, to work with Gustavus student facilitators and develop an understanding of themselves as leaders in their congregations and communities. Tiger McLuen of Youth Leadership will keynote and will also lead training. A special afternoon workshop led by Richard Leider and Larry Spears, "Discovering the Essence of Servant-Leadership," will help participants see for themselves their God-given gifts and will help youth directors better understand their youth and how they can help the students succeed as leaders.
