What is the Universe like, how does it behave, at the very smallest, microscopic scales? What lies beneath the level of the atoms that make up the ordinary matter that the Universe contains? What exactly is "in there e What does the Universe look like, and how does it behave, at the very largest, astronomical distances? What lies beyond our solar system, beyond our galaxy? What exactly is "out there e If we look back in time, where did it all come from? And, as for the future, where is it all going?

With the stage set for a mind-blowing Nobel Conference, physics professor and Committee Chair, Dr. Steve Mellema will give us a tantalizing preview of what we can expect, and why you don't want to miss this year's Nobel Conference, which includes three Nobel laureates and five other world-class speakers.

Usually held the third Wednesday of each month during the school year. Meal served at 11:30am. Talk begins at 12:00pm and is over by 1:00pm. Cost is $8 for Arboretum Members, $9 for non-members. Go to to register.
