Time: March 5, 2019 at 1:302:30 a.m.

Are you ready for retirement? There are many factors to consider when making this important decision and one of them is Social Security. We know that navigating Social Security's programs can be overwhelming. However, you will be amazed at how easy it is to work with Social Security, to utilize their planning resources, get your questions answered and work with the interactive online tools to ensure you make the right decision on when to apply.

This webinar will provide details not only on the retirement program but will cover the filing strategy options when it comes to spouses, divorced spouses and widow(ers) benefits. We will talk about the key factors to consider when determining the right time for YOU to file, how you can work and collect benefits and how easy it is to file an application. We will also conduct an overview of the Medicare program - when is it best for YOU to file for Medicare coverage, do you need to file if you are working and covered under your employer health plan and what forms do you need if you work and enroll after age 65. These and many other questions will be answered in this session. During the webinar you will be able to ask live questions.

The presenter is Rhonda Whitenack, Social Security Public Affairs Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. Rhonda has been with the agency for 25 years and has vast experience in conducting public outreach education and training. Take the first step in planning for your future by taking advantage of this interactive free webinar provided by a local Social Security employee.

Rhonda does ask that participants open up a My Social Security Account prior to the session. This will give you a better understanding of your benefits and what you have invested (not mandatory, but highly encouraged).
