Description
Shared Space is a dance concert directed, choreographed, designed, and performed entirely by students. Directed by Seniors Emily Bulling, Alexandra Ehrich, Shawn Grygo, and Nikki Rusinko.
This year's concert features the work of 12 student choreographers and involves over 40 dancers. Dance composition students will also be performing, showing choreography they have worked on over the course of the semester.
Shared Space offers unique opportunities for both beginning and advanced choreographers. For many beginning choreographers it is the first time they create a full length piece and see it through to production and performance. They are able to experience this process with the mentoring of advanced students and faculty members. For advanced choreographers it is an open environment to experiment with new ideas and further develop their artistry.
Audience members will find a variety of styles ranging all the way from modern dance to hip hop. There is something for everyone in this concert and it is inevitable that tickets will go fast again this year.
