Announcement: Seeking Philanthropy-Minded Seniors
The Office of Advancement is looking for high-performing, civic-minded students in the class of 2020 who are interested in philanthropy and representing Gustavus Adolphus College to create the Senior Class Legacy Committee.
The Senior Class Legacy Gift is one way for students to say “Thank You” to the place you’ve come to call home. It’s a tradition that unites Gusties dating back to the class of 1900, who have given back to ensure Gustavus remains a place that has a lasting impact on students. Recent gifts include: creation of “The Angel Fund” (2019), outdoor furniture for the Jackson Center (2018), scholarships for incoming classes (2017), and renovation of the Complex fire pit (2016).
Goals of the SCL Committee:
Select a legacy gift from the class of 2020
Connect with groups and individuals across campus to raise awareness of, and funds for, the Senior Class Legacy Gift
Represent Gustavus Adolphus College with integrity and professionalism
Students who are selected must:
Make committee membership a high priority with respect to their time and effort
Represent the college with integrity and professionalism
Commit to service for the remainder of the academic year
Attend all monthly meetings
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and initiate conversations with members of the Gustavus community
Exhibit an understanding of or a willingness to learn about philanthropy at Gustavus
If you’re interested, please submit this short form by Wednesday, December 4: Senior Class Legacy Committee. If you have questions, reach out to Logan Campa, Assistant Director of the Gustavus Fund, at LoganCampa@gustavus.edu.
