The residential (res-hall and wireless) network was experiencing some problems earlier this week. On Wednesday Ethan made some adjustments to the Packeteer (machine that shapes our network bandwidth off campus) that should have resolved those problems.

Symptoms included the ability to browse off campus pages - sometimes - and then not - and then back - and then off. Chat programs continued to work during the outages.

If users are still experiencing this type of problem, please let us know. Please attempt to call any cases like this in the database and check the status - it should be resolved.
