Refugee Advocate and Writer Kim Schultz: Employee Enhancement DaysFebruary 6, 2018 at noon to 1 p.m.
Presenters: Kim Schultz
Refugee Advocate and writer, Kim Schultz, will be sharing her novel, No Place Called Home, which is a beautiful and funny story about Kim's time in Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon as an American playwright hired by the New York-based NGO, Intersections International. Kim and her fellow artists interviewed hundreds of Iraqis, heard their stories, and shared them with an American audience in hopes of creating awareness and change through the artist's eyes. Kim will provide commentary on her experience and the first 40 attendees will receive a free copy of her book. Kim will return to Gustavus in March to perform her play, which had a successful New York City run and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as as part of World Refugee Day.
