Description
Richard Terrill, author of Fakebook, Improvisations on a Journey Back to Jazz, will present a reading of his work. In the book, Terrill presents a memoir of his early days as a jazz lover and aspiring musician, looks at the difficulties of learning and performing, and tells about his return to playing as a club musician. Along the way, "In his description of the noble struggle to create something meaningful in that difficult and myusterious realm of music we call jazz, Terrill finds some surprising truths," says Lyle Mays, Grammy award-winning keyboardist and composer.
