Description
The Putnam is given nationally, only to undergraduates, and consists of twelve problems. Six problems each are given from 9 a.m.-noon and from 2-5 p.m. They are designed to measure creativity, an important part of mathematics. People typically take it for the interest, challenge, and fun. These are problems at the undergraduate level (often freshman/sophmore) that really provide a different experience than those in class.
