Public Forum on Solar EnergyMarch 21, 2017 at 7–9 p.m.
Gustavus staff, faculty, and students are invited to the following event: The River Prairie Network of Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light is sponsoring a public forum on a new plan to offer St Peter residents the opportunity to subscribe to shares in electricity generated by solar power. This plan grows out of discussions of renewable energy goals developed by the city. Residents will have a chance to learn more about the goals, the subscription plan, fee structures, and other energy options.
River Prairie is the St Peter area chapter of Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light, itself a branch of the national IPL organization. Through alliances across many faith traditions, it works to promote energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy in order to protect the earth's ecosystems, safeguard the health of all creation, and ensure sufficient, sustainable energy for all.
