Promotion to Full Professor DiscussionMarch 1, 2016 at 4–5 p.m.

This is an invitation to attend an informal meeting with some female faculty who have been recently promoted to full professor. We hope to encourage those who are ready to come up for promotion to do so or to think about planning to do so in the next several years.

The meeting is for all female associate professors regardless of involvement in the GWSS Program. Our purpose is simply to provide support and encouragement that you may or may not receive within your respective departments.

Speaking from our own experiences, we are motivated by the knowledge that putting yourself forward for promotion can be a daunting or even somewhat scary thought.
