Problems copying to home directories from MacsMar 21, 2003 at midnight to Mar 26, 2003 at 11:59 p.m.

There seems to have surfaced some sort of Mac/Home Directories problem as a result of either netatalk or the appleshare running on orion. Apparently, when users attempt to copy entire folders of information from their local hard drive to their home directory, the folder is copied up, but not the files. It said you do not have enough privileges. Joyce had a similar problem yesterday in the lab and mentioned it to Jeff, but it looked like it was related to just font files. But now a faculty member is reporting the same symptoms, so its may be more widespread. The workaround for now is to copy the files individually up - instead of a whole folder.
