6:30 p.m. -- Inaugural Symposium, "The Promise of the Intellectual Life;" keynote address, titled "The Vocation of the Intellectual," by the Rev. Dr. Martin E. Marty in Alumni Hall and panel sessions follow the keynote presentation in Alumni Hall and the Campus Center Banquet Rooms.
