Description Together, We Live the Promise -- This weekend, Gustavus Adolphus College's 14th President, James L. Peterson, will be inaugurated. The schedule is:

Thursday, Apr. 15
6:30 p.m. -- Inaugural Symposium, "The Promise of the Intellectual Life;" keynote address, titled "The Vocation of the Intellectual," by the Rev. Dr. Martin E. Marty in Alumni Hall and panel sessions follow the keynote presentation in Alumni Hall and the Campus Center Banquet Rooms.
7:30 p.m. -- Panel Sessions
8:30 p.m. -- Panel Sessions
9:45 p.m. -- Symposium Reception hosted by the Gustavus Student Senate in the Evelyn Young Dining Room

Friday, Apr. 16
8 a.m.-12 p.m. -- Board of Trustees Business Meeting in the Campus Center Board Room
10 a.m. -- Daily Celebration: Tenure Service in Christ Chapel
11:45 a.m. -- Tree Dedication in the Presidents' Oak Grove in Linnaeus Arboretum
12:30 p.m. -- Inauguration Luncheon (by invitation) in Alumni Hall
1:30-2:00 p.m. -- Delegate Check-in in the Board Room in the Campus Center
3-4:30 p.m. -- Investiture in Christ Chapel
4:30-7 p.m. -- Inaugural Reception (reservations requested) in the Evelyn Young Dining Room

Saturday, Apr. 17
9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. -- Gustavus Adolphus College Association of Congregations Meeting in Christ Chapel
1:30-4:30 p.m. -- Gusties in Volunteer Endeavors (G.I.V.E.) Day in St. Peter (pre-registration requested through the Office of Alumni Relations)
7:30-9:30 p.m. -- Gustavus Wind Orchestra Concert in Christ Chapel

Sunday, Apr. 18
10:30 a.m. -- Holy Communion in Christ Chapel
1:30-3:30 p.m. -- Twin Cities Reception (by invitation) at Hilton Hotel, 1001 Marquette Ave., Minneapolis, hosted by the Gustavus Alumni Association
4-5:30 p.m. -- Nobel Symphony Concert, featuring VocalEssence and the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis (tickets available through Orchestra Hall Box Office)
