"Is Osama Bin Laden Muslim?" A presentation and open discussion of Islam, Osama Bin Laden and the war on terrorism. The issues we will address iclude: 1) the problem of Islamic orthodoxy/law in the context of Bin Laden's brand of Islam; 2) the varied responses to the "war on terrorism" in some Muslim cultures; 3) US involvement in the training of the mujahadin during the Soviet occupation in Afghanistan.
