Description
Please join us for a reading of a new play-in-progress by playwright Susan McCully. She will be visiting as a guest artist, and is looking for feedback on the play. As the title, Demeter's Daughters or Girls on a Dirt Pile suggests, the play works with the mythic story of Demeter and Persephone to explore women's relationships. It's feminist, funny, poetic and intense -- and the roles will be read by talented Gustavus theatre students with special guest stars: Susan McCully, Patty Gallagher (a professional actor), and Amy Seham (Gustavus theatre and dance professor) portraying the three Graeae -- or "Crones."
