The People Behind the Science Lecture Series" through the Biology Department has invited seven speakers to give seminars about their research specialties and career paths throughout J-term, and we invite you to attend! This series is designed to show the diversity of early- and late-stage STEM careers in biology and highlight the real and relatable people that are behind the science.

Our next speraker will be Dr. Erin Eberhard, a stream ecologist at Kent State University who studies nutrient cycling. Her talk will be in Nobel Hall 1540 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, January 8 and will focus on nutrient and metal cycling in spatially variable aquatic ecosystems. 

Our next speaker will be Dr. Scott Dee a researcher in swine veterinary medicine, who will be giving a virtual seminar on next generation biosecurity measures for the swine breeding on Wednesday January 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., which will be live-streamed in Nobel Hall-Room 1540.
