Paris is Burning

This year, the Sociology/Anthropology department is having monthly movie nights.  This month, we are celebrating October's LGBT History Month. We are showing the film PARIS IS BURNING! Snacks provided as is an overview of the film and the history of the ball culture in 1980s NYC - along with a discussion on things like AIDS, racism, poverty, violence and homophobia.
