Description

"Our Place, In Place" is a series of site and theme specific dance performances choreographed and directed by Stephan Koplowitz. The performances will take place May 2 and 5, 2012 and will feature 150+ student and alumni performers, live music, and four iconic Gustavus locations. All events are free and open to the public.

SCHEDULE:
Noon - Various Indoor Locations, C. Charles Jackson Campus Center - Theatrical Performances by students and alumni, inspired by and performed with Adirondack Chairs, with Original Texts by students from Cory Hinkle's Play-writing Course. (Rain or shine)

6 p.m. - Eckman Mall - 20 dancers and 20 Adirondack Chairs, stretched in a 300-foot straight line, with live music by the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps. (Rain Location: Lund Arena)

9 p.m. - Beck Hall Atrium - A movement, sound, and image installation for 24 dancers, 128 voices, oversized video and image projections (Rain or shine)

10 p.m. - Christ Chapel - A site-specific performance for 12 dancers dramatically lit in the windows of the chapel, with original music by Chad Fothergill '06. (Rain or shine)
