Julie Serstad, RN, PHN, MSN, Deputy Director of the North Slope Borough, Barrow, Alaska, will talk about the struggle to maintain a subsistence lifestyle, fight the destructive impact of fishing and hunting regulations that have been imposed on traditional food sources, and what is currently being done to work with Alaska Natives/Native Americans to reduce obesity in a culturally sensitive way. This lecture is open to the public.
