Announcement: Nominations for 2008 Ovanlig Award

Call for nominations for the 2008 Ovanlig Award - awarded to a Junior or Senior demonstrating leadership in raising campus awareness of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender rights and concerns. Your assistance is needed to identify students who might be appropriate recipients of the 2008 Ovanlig Award. The primary purpose of this endowed award of up to $1500 is to provide encouragement and financial support to young men and women who desire a Gustavus education. If you know students who fit the criteria highlighted above, please forward their names to Ruth Johnson, Assistant Dean of Students, by no later than March 3, 2008 (rjohnso4@gustavus.edu), and an application will be sent to the student. Junior and Senior Gustavus students may self-nominate by stopping by the Dean of Students Office or Diversity Center to pick up the Ovanlig Award application.
