Nobel Conference 48 examines "Our Global Ocean eas a source of inspiration, danger, and knowledge. Today, we know less about our own oceans than we do about the surfaces of other planets hundreds of millions of miles away. It's time to take a new look at our oceans by gathering some of the top researchers in biogeochemistry, oceanography, deep-sea biology, molecular genetics, and coral ecology to speak about their research and our roles regarding the ocean. Through the lectures of these leading marine scientists, we hope to ignite thought and conversation about the interconnected bodies of water that play a crucial role in the development of human life and culture.
