TimeMarch 7, 2018 at noon to 1:30 p.m.

In a collaboration with the Presidential Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Human Resources, the Diversity Center, and the Chaplain's Office, please join us as Iraqi refugee advocate Kim Schultz performs her one-act play, "No Place Called Home." Ms. Schultz, a native Minnesotan, will be performing her play, which is a beautiful and funny story about her time in Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon as an American playwright hired by the New York-based NGO, Intersections International. Kim and her fellow artists interviewed hundreds of Iraquis, heard their stories, and shared them with an American audience in hopes of creating awareness and change through the artist's eyes. Kim's play had a successful New York City run and also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as part of World Refugee Day. Attendees will receive a copy of her book as she shares commentary on her experience.
