Description

Minnesota is a beautiful place for enjoying an abundance of lakes and rivers. But water, our most famous resource, is under threat from the way we use the land. Join Dr. Carrie Jennings of the Minnesota Geological Survey as she describes how rivers are compromised by siltation and what we can do about it.

Dr. Jennings is the 2009 Earth Day Speaker and is hosted by the Environmental Studies Program. For questions regarding her talk and campus visit, please contact Joel Carlin, interim co-chair of Enviornmental Studies.
