Description

The Men's Halftime Retreat, this year themed Piece by Piece: Finding the Links Between Self and Community, seeks to provide attendees with a extensive look into their identities and how they fit into the world around them. Students who attend this 5th Annual Retreat will participate in an atmosphere of learning, reflection, and open communication on issues surrounding men of the 21st century, as well as what it means to be a male student at Gustavus. Their primary role will be exploring with all others on the retreat, while also discussing issues of involvement, leadership, service, vocational discernment, and masculinity facing men today. The students who attend this retreat will have the opportunity to learn from upperclassmen on their experiences as Gustavus leaders, as well as from faculty on their experiences with leadership, masculinity, and the pressures that men face. These students will help to create an informed, motivated, and equipped body of male campus leaders.
