The 22nd annual MAYDAY! Peace Conference will address the topic "Sanctions and Beyond: What is the Human Price?" Events include:

9 a.m. -- Registration in Linner Lounge in the O.J. Johnson Student Union;

10 a.m. -- Welcoming services and opening keynote address by David Cortright, author and research fellow at the Joan B. Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame, and president of the Fourth Freedom Forum, in Christ Chapel;

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Lunch break in the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center;

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Resource Center in Linner Lounge open -- video presentations and informational tables available;

1 p.m. -- Afternoon keynote address by Kathy Kelly, co-founder of Voices in the Wilderness, a campaign to end UN/US economic sanctions against the people of Iraq, in Alumni Hall in O.J. Johnson Student Union;

2:30-3:45 p.m. -- Workshops:

"The Sanctions on Iraq" by Kathy Kelly;

"Palestinian and Israeli Conflict: U.S. Dollars as Carrot or Stick" by Charles Lutz, a journalist and Lutheran peace activist;

"Perspectives Toward American Foreign Policy" by Gustavus international students;

"The Sanctions on Cuba" by Marie Braun, Twin Cities Campaign to Life Sanctions;

4 p.m. -- Closing reception and book signing in the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center.
