"Tibet: Finding Hope in Exile"

Since the Dalai Lama went into exile in 1959 following the Chinese occupation of Tibet, the Tibetan people have sought refuge in India and throughout the world, including Minnesota. This year's conference will present the story of the Tibetan exile experience and their efforts to maintain their identity and build a global democratic culture under difficult circumstances.

The MAYDAY! Peace Conference, which is open to the public at no charge, is an annual event designed to educate the campus, community, and beyond about issues related to peace, human rights, and social justice.
