MARIAM: Screening and Conversation with Faiza Ambah

Please join us as we welcome New America NYC and Saudi filmaker, Faiza Ambah, for a screening of Mariam, a medium length film about a veiled Muslim teenager in 2004 France who must choose between removing her hijab or getting expelled from school when a law is passed prohibiting religious symbols in public schools.

This film is the winner of the Special Jury Prize for its' world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival in December 2015.
